Sweet Potato

Sweet potato, sugary potato, Indian taro, Damama, Vandal or Hindal (scientific name: Ipomoea batatas) is a dicotyledonous plant under the Mahmoudia family. Its fruit is large, starchy, sweet in taste, and its leaves are sometimes eaten. Its origin is in the tropics of America. It contains nearly 50 genera and more than 1,000 species.
